GOAL: Advance the use of bicycles as a viable mode of transportation and recreation within the City of Las Cruces and MPO area.
OBJECTIVE 5: Adopt specific bicycle facility and system design criteria for the development of bicycle facilities.
POLICIES:
5.1 The American Association of State Highway and Transportation Official's "Guide for the Development of Bicycle Facilities," August 1991 edition, shall be used as a basis for developing bicycle design criteria and used for planning and construction bicycling facilities. 5.2 All bicycle facilities shall be signed and striped accordingly to the requirements of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, as amended. 5.3 The City of Las Cruces Design Standards, Zoning Code, and Subdivision Code will be amended to reflect current City of Las Cruces Bicycle Facility and System Master Plan Policy.
