GOAL: Advance the use of bicycles as a viable mode of transportation and recreation within the City of Las Cruces and MPO area.
OBJECTIVE 2: Identify and establish procedures for the preservation of all existing bicycling facilities within the City of Las Cruces.
POLICIES:
2.1 All existing bicycling facilities, within the City of Las Cruces, shall be identified and analyzed for use on an annual basis. 2.2 Existing bicycle facilities, not conforming to adopted design standards, shall be reviewed for improvement and continued use or for abandonment or replacement by the BFAC. (See Objective 6, Policies 6.1 and 6.2 concerning local design standards) 2.3 The destruction, elimination, or removal of an existing public bicycling facility within the City of Las Cruces without prior consultation of the BFAC is prohibited.
